11388 Hits From The Pits Vol.2 B+ £40 (300’) This is a reel of 6 Science Fiction & Horror movies, Colour & B/W(the B/W is pretty good on all the relevant trailers), that were the fodder for American Drive-In’s and the local run Fleapits (small independent cinemas, run on very tight budgets), there is a superb introduction as a pre trailer sequence announces a night of horrors to come, men are asked if their girlfriends are really Ghoul-friends, and the women are asked if their boyfriends are either mice or men at the thought of the horrors coming to this screen, we then lead into the only colour trailer on the reel, it stars a young actor called Steven McQueen who stars in the 1958 Sci-Fi “The Blob”, then it’s B/W all the way, the next trailer is called “Valley Of The Dragons” (1961), then it’s onto “The House On Haunted Hill” Starring Vincent Price (1959), next is “The Giant Gila Monster” (1959), I think they must have had about $20 for their SFX budget, it’s so bad, its good, up next is “The Attack Of The 50ft Woman” (1958) and finally “Attack Of The Puppet People” (1958), there you have it, some of the worst Sci-Fi and Horror films ever to come out of Hollywood, but they fall into the category “They Are So Bad, They’re Good!”
